i made whole wheat pancakes the other day and they came out rly well!! ive found pancakes weirdly difficult to get right but i think im getting the hang of it. finally getting somewhat round shapes most of the time, and a nice texture too

i like a bunch of stuff in my pancakes so these have mixed berries, chocolate chips, and pecans :-)

oh yummy!!! ive always been a basic maple syrup kinda guy but that sounds delicious! do you cook often?

a plain pancake w/maple syrup can be so comforting! i have a nice memory of staying w/a close friend's family for a month in the summer, and the thing we had for our first dinner together was pancakes and syrup. and yes i do!! partially out of necessity (it saves money and i have lots of allergies), but also b/c i find it rly grounding to cook. it gets me off my screens and back into the physical world, and there's a tasty treat at the end hehe

i don't cook very often because i just haven't found the time-- but the times i had i really enjoyed it! you're right, the process is pretty grounding and it's relaxing if you know what you're doing haha. i've cooked with my friends before and it was fun too, and they're much better chefs than me so the food always turns out good ^_^

cooking with other ppl is so much fun!! and then u get to share what you've made :-) one of the best communal activities imo
