two things :-]

(1) i just got back from a lil walk (as part of trying to get some time outside every day where im not running an errand or walking to/from work). i saw some geese in a V!!! but before that i saw lots of plants that were growing in non-optimal places and lots of houses that were different in tiny ways, mostly b/c of things like different kinds of wear and tear or decorations on the porch n stuff. and i heard lots of life being lived, like music and conversation and a door being opened. i live right next to a busy street, kind of like the main street of my district, but if i go the opposite direction it gets so much quieter, and it's a little pocket of residences, mostly houses split up by leasing companies and rented out. most ppl here are just passing through. it made me feel v connected to people and it reminded me that even if u are limited in ur travel range by disability and not being able to drive (like i am), there is still a lot of life nearby. and u get to be part of that

(2) on that note i saw a post 4 a queer read-in-the-park event this wed and im gonna try 2 go!!! im rly nervous about meeting new ppl in person in a non-work context (that's rly not something ive done since pre-pandemic), but the host is requiring masks, and it's literally just reading. i don't have to talk for the first part of it, i can just read. and if the event ends early or no one shows up, then i've still gone to a new park that i wanted to explore anyway. i want to meet other queer ppl who are comfortable wearing masks outdoors and who r willing to admit the pandemic is still here

the bus route is almost an hour which is why im hesitant, but it is good to go on adventures. so i will try to go on this one
